Dries van Noten Spring/Summer 2016: Feminine Juxtapositions

February 26, 2016

Dries Van Noten’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection is his most colourful to date. Hot pink aligns with mustard, while orange becomes one with gold. Chinoiserie ornamentations line luscious satin to create looks that are eclectic and flamboyant. Loose silhouettes and knee-length skirts adorned the runways to create diverse flairs.

The Pink Sparkly Pump is perfect for any girl who dreams of being Barbie. It’s the perfect accessory to accompany the Rewa Coat and the Ponta Pants. This will be a show stopping look that will have everyone’s heads turning despite the bleak weather.

The Stan Skirt is compartmental and consists of pockets with side zipper closures so that you can bring your essentials anywhere without a handbag. It’s for the practical woman on the go, along with the Vera Jacket. The large sleeves create geometric shapes that call for a cocoon comfort that becomes home away from home.

Textured fabrics come into question for the Central Embroidered Shirt. The sequined details and puffed shoulders are a beautiful contrast to the dark fabric. Dries Van Noten combines the divine with the textural to create unique designs for the individual.
