Dries van Noten Spring/Summer 2016: The Opulent Misfit

May 30, 2016

The Dries van Noten collection was embedded with exquisite embroidery and flamboyant satin fabrics. Feathers, weeds, and florals adorned the silhouettes on each piece. Fuchsia, turquoise, and gold are the colour palettes in this season. Young women and mature gals will have a fun night on the town with each item whether it is the long skirts or the extravagant blouses.

For instance, the long satin gold coat with turquoise feathers will replace all desires for that plain old trench in everyone’s closets. The fuchsia open-toed sandals are simply the perfect partner in crime, while the purple floral-embroidered shirt dress makes the entire ensemble a force to be reckoned with.

The satin maxi skirt with gold specks is a cross between emerald and turquoise. This piece can be accompanied with minimalist blouses and statement necklaces. Brunch along the Riviera or the Barcelona seas is the perfect event for this delectable concoction. Minaudieres are mandatory for such a sight.

Phoenix wings are grandiose symbols of power. The white blouse with phoenix wing symbols consists of intricate details and resemble paintbrush strokes of a rare piece of art. Lilac open-toed pumps and emperor blue midi skirts with gold tapestry are a delight for the eyes. The collection is a call to craftsmanship and luxury.
